Egg Farm
The historic “Egg Farm” in Carmel Valley was once the largest commercial egg-producing operation in Monterey County, playing a significant role in the region’s agricultural economy throughout the 1920s and 1930s. Over time, the property has evolved into a solar-powered organic farm and private estate, balancing contemporary sustainability with its agricultural legacy.
Commissioned to reimagine the residential compound, our scope included the renovation of the existing main residence and the design of a new Accessory Dwelling Unit. The project sought to honor the site’s historic character while introducing a refined architectural language that responds to the rural landscape, supports modern living, and reinforces the property's ongoing stewardship and transformation.
